Don’t Die With Your Music Still Inside You

We all have music inside us—the stories untold, the art uncreated, the dreams unpursued. Yet too often, we silence it with fear, doubt, and the endless ‘what ifs’ that keep us waiting for the perfect moment. But later isn’t promised. Imagine standing at the end of your life, looking back at all the things you wished you had done but never did. That regret? That’s the weight of potential left unrealized.

Your music—your creativity, your ideas, your voice—is meant to be heard. Maybe it’s a book, a song, a business, or a message the world needs. Whatever it is, it’s uniquely yours, and the world is waiting for it. You don’t need more time; you need courage. You don’t need permission; you need to decide. You don’t need to be perfect; you need to begin. Don’t let fear keep your music locked inside you. Start now.

San Diego Friends: What are you doing THIS FRIDAY?

Zach has been hard at work gearing up for Desert Canvas, a show featuring some of his work that combines hand-sewn and hand painted goodness at Culture Brewing in Encinitas Friday March 7th from 5-9 PM. More details below:

As a child, his grandmother taught him how to sew, a skill that faded over time. After her passing, Zach revisited sewing—not just as a creative outlet, but as a meditative way to reconnect with her memory.

What began with small projects like pennants and custom clothing soon evolved into large-scale wall hangings that showcase Zach’s meticulous process and deep respect for craftsmanship. Each piece is created through a hands-on approach that includes cutting, dyeing, sewing, and hand-painting vintage cotton canvas.

The result is work that has a distinct, weathered feel, as if the fabric itself carries its own story. Drawing inspiration from the rugged desert landscape, Zach’s pieces reflect the beauty of the natural world, striking a perfect balance between bold simplicity and intricate detail.

Every stitch, brushstroke, and fabric choice tells a unique story, blending past influences with present sensibilities. The work exudes a sense of nostalgia—not only for the techniques and materials used but for the personal journey that has shaped them.

As always, thanks for your time and attention. See you all next week!
